Restored cinema classics to attend Iran Int'l filmfest

Restored classics of the European and Asian cinemas are set to participate in the 36th Fajr International Film Festival.

Six restored films from Japan, France, Russia, Australia, Poland and Czechoslovakia have been selected to screen in the restored movie section of the 36th Fajr International Film Festival.

In this section of the festival, four restored Iranian classics will also be shown including 'Arbaeen' by Nasser Taghvaei, 'Amir Kabir' by Ali Hatami, 'Oh Guardian of Deer' by Parviz Kimiavi and 'The Survivour' by Seifollah Daad.

There is also a joint production of Hong Kong and Taiwan selected to go on screen.

Fajr International Film Festival celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and showcases films promoting artistic contribution to the medium. 

The 36th edition of the festival runs April 19-27, 2018 in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
